Air & Anchor

As the Content Marketing and Designer for Air & Anchor, I curated organic and paid content across multiple social media channels. My work involved recording and editing video, creating assets for digital advertisements, copy writing, product photography and ideating creative and innovative forms of content, developing new strategies as the brand grew.

I worked in tandem with our Creative Director to support our design needs, including designing emails, promotional materials for print, editing photos, and creating assets for Air & Anchor’s Amazon Storefront.

Videography

Our goal with social media was to highlight the production and design of the jewelry process, as well as create aspirational lifestyle content through “behind the scenes” videos showcasing the work that goes into building the brand. Working with the team I utilized social media and audience trends to develop content plans that supported company goals and objectives.

Digital Series

As an company manufacturing their products exclusively in the USA, local craftsmanship is vital to Air & Anchor. This interview series focuses on local craftsmen, artisans, and creatives part of the Air & Anchor community. Through his series I hoped to reinforce the company’s values and align them with like minded members of the community.

Wake n' Crepe

Wake n’ Crepe is a catering and delivery service based out of Warwick, Rhode Island offering crepes, crepe cakes, and brunch options. They create unique experiences for parties, farmers markets, and private events throughout Southern New England. 

I created their branding identity, including logo, print materials, and some soon to be added social media content. Their goal was to create a brand that was playful and inviting to connect with customers looking to add an exciting, customizable, and flavorful experience to any event.

High Hopes

At High Hopes Cannabis Dispensary I oversaw the creative direction, marketing, social media, merchandise design and web design from 2021-2023. This included monthly management of paid advertising working in tandem with our third party commerce media team and maintaining our email and text lists, producing weekly static and video social media content, designing packaging, apparel, and in-store promotional material and posters.

Public Health Campaign Success Criteria

Success Criteria for launch:

  • 50 Followers on Instagram

We have currently surpassed these criteria with:

  • 100 follows on Instagram
  • 83 likes on Facebook
  • 231 Listeners to the podcast

Concluding our Public Health Campaign

Our success criteria was based on only the content we provided within the given time to launch the postcast. Over the course of this project it was impressive to see how our following and engagement had grown and seeing our client Shelby become excited and feel empowered to continue using social media as a tool to spread awareness for public health issues.

By creating content for Shelby we were able to plant the first seed of building her brand and give her a platform to begin having larger conversations about public health.

For over a year I have been the Communications Lead for Sunrise Providence, a local youth-led environmental movement.

Rapid Response + Action Graphic Design

This past year I have created graphics, copywriting and published posts for events and actions, increasing our Instagram and Twitter follows by 100%.

Given the sheer amount of information audiences are bombarded with, effective graphic design is an important tool to help connect viewers with your message, and stand out when you have only seconds to grab their attention.

Educational and informational content creation allows for us to break down complex ideas.

Graphic design is the perfect tool to spread information, as it allows us to capture our audience’s attention and sustain visual interest, as to not lose a reader in the sheer weight of information being delivered to them.

This social media series consisted of 3 posts adapted from our training teams’ educational sessions of the same name. Motion graphics have been an effective tool for our social media outreach, they allow us to retain our audiences attention, visual display information, and enhance video performance. This role has given be the ability to increase my motion graphics and video editing skills, as well as work with other volunteers to teach them the basics of video editing.

Overall my experience as the Communications Director for Sunrise Providence has allowed me to gain real world experience into the importance of effective graphic design, executing creative vision, working with social media and press to expand our organizations outreach.  This role has allowed me to grow as a designer, project manager and leader, and help other volunteers grow as well, while working towards environmental justice.

Trinity True Seltzer

Trinity True Seltzer is a mock branding exercise in package design, social media, and point of sale poster design for the already established and iconic brand, Trinity Brewhouse. 

Utilizing their current tagline “Think Globally, Drink Locally” for the expression on the can “Drink Thoughtfully”, this line extension is meant to feel more akin to a beer than a traditional hard seltzer. Conveying a feeling of rugged age to connect with a wider rage of customers within the Gen Z demographic.

Sunrise Providence

This video was created to increase volunteer support for local elections in Rhode Island. Using Adobe Premier and After Effects in tandem, I collected previous content from past protests and actions in Providence, complied with some footage and edited with video graphics to add dimension.

Title Sequence Motion Graphics

The goal of this motion graphic course project was to film, and edit an explainer video, and create a title sequence. Made before the days of TikTok, I’ve come to appreciate the candidness of this video.

 I created the graphics in Adobe Illustrator and and video editing in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.

My inspiration for the title sequence came from Dexter, Se7en, and early 200’s MTV. The footage for this was shot using a Canon T5i and a barn light to angle and control the stream of light on the subjects.

3D Diorama Animation

The objective for this animation project was to create a living diorama utilizing 3D space in After Effects. 

Animation Storyboarding and Asset Creation

I felt initially drawn to the idea of creating a living book, being able to take the elements from a story and bring them to life by animating them. 

In keeping with the story book theme it felt natural to create the assets for this animation out of pages of a book, to symbolize that these were that pages that have come “alive”.

I selected an old book and I began sketching my assets onto the pages. I kept in mind how the assets would interact with their scene and how they would move while they were on screen while creating them. 

Here you can see my mood-board for this project, I felt very inspired by niche aesthetics, old library meets cottage in the woods. I felt this would afford the feeling of ethereal fantasy I was hoping for. 

Final Video

I think that this diorama really captures my strengths as a designer, there is a clear vision  and a visual story told. I feel that this assignment  challenged me to begin thinking about design from the stand point of motion graphics but also to think about the relation the elements of my design have to one another, and the veiwer.

Recyclobot Branding: The EcoFriendly Robot

The objective for this branding project was to create a brand identity, toy logo, instruction manual, and poster for a new toy company, Recyclobots. Recyclobot toys give children recycled materials to make their own robot toys, following a detailed instruction manual.

Logo is fun, playful, engaging for children and liens itself to further brand development opportunities in commercials an animations. 

The green arrow is a retro-futuristic take on the recycling symbol representing the environment and renewal. The blue shades are calming and together these compliment the companies goals of engaging children in the process of environmental conservation.

The logo is also reminiscent of an old box television from the 1950’s which many parents may recognize and feel connected to the brands message this way as well.

The flat designs in the Instructable are easily read, and understood by children, especially considering the complexity of the robot’s design. Lastly, I added playful elements that would also draw to the poster on the front, such as flowers and bees.

For the package design of this brand, it felt important that the design have the least impact on the environment. This is why I chose unbleached cardboard and not to use a die-cut, traditionally seen on children’s toys. The packaging is also kept minimal for this reason, to stay on message for this brand.
